Using the wrong cleaning method on the wrong surface can cause serious damage. Here is how to know which your home needs.
High-pressure water (2,500-4,000 PSI) blasts away grime from hard surfaces. Ideal for concrete, brick, stone, and unfinished wood.
Low-pressure water (under 1,000 PSI) with biodegradable solutions. The cleaning agents do the work, not the pressure. Right for delicate surfaces.
If the surface is harder than your fingernail, power washing is usually safe. If softer or painted, always soft wash. You can increase pressure but cannot undo damage.
